About Me

I have been working in the live event industry for over 10 years, travelling within the UK and across the world, working on a wide range of different shows and events. During this time I also spent 3 years studying for a degree in Sound, Light & Live Event Technology (BSc Hons).

I focus my skills and knowledge across the specialities of Lighting and Video, working within Live Music, Theatre and Corporate events. I have always had a keen eye for the latest in innovation and technology and thrive to learn new skills and broaden my expertise.

Lighting

My principal skill set lies within the Lighting field, where I have achieved more than 10 years experience both as a programmer, designer, director and a production engineer.

Along with experience working in Live Music, Theatre and Corporate Events, from the position of a Programmer, Designer, Operator and Engineer, I have an ambitious musical ear for operating and designing alongside an understanding of timecode programming and other show control elements.

The majority of my work is accomplished working on the GrandMA2 platform, with which I have become a proficient programmer and operator. Nevertheless, I am also familiar with other consoles including Hog4, Avolites & Chamsys.
Additionally, I possess a GrandMA2 onPC system allowing me to pre-program shows away from site using software such as WYSIWYG, Capture and MA3D.

Video

Over the past 3 years I have obtained a good understanding of the inner workings of large video systems, while developing an understaning of Large Format Image Processors such as Barco E2/S3 and Spyder X20, alongside an evolving competency with media servers such as Catalyst, Hippotizer, Qlab and Resolume.

Working on a vast range of shows and events, I have utilised media servers alongside my skills as a GrandMA2 programmer to achieve a wide variety of shows. I also operate screen switching systems including Barco Event Master and work with an array of content playback systems such as Qlab, Keynote, Powerpoint and Playback Pro.
